Are Texans friendly to outsiders? ›

As a whole, Texans are a friendly bunch. We're quick to say hello and ask how you're doing. That's more of a rhetorical question, and just our way of being polite. We hold store doors open for strangers and wave to passing cars on two-lane highways.
